Grandma's Cozy Caramel Apple Crumble

Preheat oven to 350°F
Cake Batter Ingredients:
• 6 oz butter (room temp.)
• 1 ¼ cups sugar
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• ½ tsp salt
• 2 large eggs
• 1¼ cups plain yogurt (or sour cream)
• 2½ cups all-purpose flour
Batter Up Steps
1) In mixing bowl, combine butter, sugar, baking powder, vanilla, and salt.
2) Mix on medium speed until light and fluffy. Scrape down sides.
3) Add eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth.
4) On low speed, add half the flour, then half the yogurt—mix gently.
5) Repeat with remaining flour and yogurt until batter is smooth. Set aside.
Cake Assembly & Bake
1) Spray your pan and pour in ⅔ of the batter—spread evenly.
2) Layer caramelized apples and juices over the batter. 3) Spread remaining batter thinly over apples.
4) Sprinkle streusel topping evenly across the cake.
5) Bake at 350°F for 35–40 minutes until golden and set.

Key Lime Snowballs
Zesty Citrus Clouds Rolled in Powdered Sugar Snow
Makes 38 - 40 Cookies that melt like sunshine in snow.
Key Lime Cookie Dough
• 8 oz Unsalted Butter room temp.
. • 1 Cup 10X Powdered Sugar
• ½ tsp. Baking Powder
• ½ tsp. Salt
• 1 lg. Egg Yolk
• ¼ Cup Key Lime Juice or Regular Lime Juice
• 4 tsp. Grated Lime Zest
• 3 Cups A.P. Flour
• 2 Cups Powdered Sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Chirpy’s Tropi-Cool Tools - 2 baking sheets, parchment, electric mixer, citrus zester, mixing bowl, cookie scoop and/or clean hands for rolling, bowl for sugar snow bath, airtight container for storing (if they last that long).
Time to Bake a Snowy Treat!
1. In a large bowl with an electric mixer, mix the butter, 1 cup 10x sugar, baking powder, and salt on medium high for 4 minutes. “Whip it like a snowstorm”
2. Lower mixer speed, add egg yolk, lime juice, and lime zest. Mix until smooth. “This is where the sunshine sneaks in,” Chirpy chirps.
3. Add the flour and mix just until a dough forms. “Soft like a snowball in mittens.”
4. Scrape the sides of the bowl and mix into dough.
❄Roll & Bake Blizzard
5. Roll dough into 1 ½ inch balls. Place on parchment-lined sheets with space to wiggle.
6. Bake for 17 - 20 minutes. Bottoms should be golden, tops pale like snow caps.
7. Cool for 20 minutes—perfect time for hot cocoa or a skate around Plumberry Pond.
8. In a bowl with 2 cups powdered sugar, toss 12 cookies at a time until fully coated. “It’s a sugar blizzard!” Chirpy giggles.
9. Store in air tight container or share fast! They vanish like snowflakes on warm days!
